                  Arthritis Is Cured By Acupuncture

Arthritis is one of the most pervasive diseases and is the leading cause of disability. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention one out of every three Indians (an estimated 70 million people) is affected.

For most people arthritis pain and inflammation cannot be avoided as the body ages. In fact, most people over the age of 50 show some signs of arthritis. Joints naturally degenerate over time. Fortunately, arthritis can often be managed by Acupuncture .

What is Arthritis?

Arthritis isn't just 1 disease; it's a complex disorder that comprises more than 100 distinct conditions and can affect people at any stage of life. Two of the most common forms are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. While these 2 forms of arthritis have very different causes, risk factors, and effects on the body, they often share a common symptom—persistent joint pain.

Osteoarthritis(OA) is the most common form of arthritis in India, affecting an estimated 21 million adults. OA begins with the breakdown of joint cartilage, resulting in pain and stiffness.
OA commonly affects the joints of the fingers, knees, hips, and spine. Other joints affected less frequently include the wrists, elbows, shoulders, and ankles. When OA is found in a less frequently affected joint, there is usually a history of injury or unusual stress to that joint. Work-related repetitive injury and physical trauma may contribute to the development of OA. If you have a strenuous job that requires repetitive bending, kneeling, or squatting, for example, you may be at high risk for OA of the knee.

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) can affect many different joints and, in some people, other parts of the body as well, including the blood, the lungs, and the heart. Inflammation of the joint lining, called the synovium, can cause pain, stiffness, swelling, warmth, and redness. The affected joint may also lose its shape, resulting in loss of normal movement. RA can last a long time and can be a disease of flares (active symptoms) and remissions (few to no symptoms).

Diagnosis and Treatment of Arthritis with Acupuncture

According to Chinese medical theory, arthritis arises when the cyclical flow of Qi in the meridians becomes blocked. This blockage is called, "bi" type pain and is widely in studies and successfully treated using by acupuncture .
Acupuncture have been found to be extremely effective at treating the pain and inflammation associated with all types of arthritis. The acupuncture points that are used depend on if the blockage of Qi (arthritis) is caused by the pathogen wind, cold, damp or damp-heat.
Traditional Chinese Medicine does not recognize arthritis as one particular syndrome. Instead, it aims to treat the specific symptoms that are unique to each individual using a variety of techniques such as acupuncture,  to restore imbalances found in the body. Therefore, if 10 patients are treated with ACUPUNCTURE for joint pain, each of these 10 patients will receive a unique, customized treatment with different acupuncture points .

Your acupuncturist will examine you, take a look at the onset of your condition and learn your signs and symptoms to determine your Chinese diagnosis and choose the appropriate acupuncture points and treatment plan.

The Acupuncture Treatment

Acupuncture points to treat Arthritis are located all over the body, not just directly over the affected area. During the acupuncture treatment, tiny needles could be placed along your legs, arms, shoulders, and perhaps even your little toe!

There seems to be little sensitivity to the insertion of acupuncture needles. They are so thin that several acupuncture needles can go into the middle of a hypodermic needle. Occasionally, there is a brief moment of discomfort as the needle penetrates the skin, but once the needles are in place, most people relax and even fall asleep for the duration of the treatment.

The length, number and frequency of treatments will vary. Typical treatments last from five to 30 minutes, with the patient being treated one or two times a week. Some symptoms are relieved after the first treatment, while more severe or chronic ailments often require multiple treatments.

 ACUPUNCTURE HELPS IN ENHANCING FERTILITY

Feeling stress about conceiving? Acupuncture is like a reset button for your system. Unlike drugs, it is not interventional. It doesn't take over your body. It does help restore balance. And that may be just what you need to help you conceive. The Tao of Fertility tells you more.

Acupuncture, like everything else in Chinese medicine, is based on the observation of our natural environment. Our body is like a little universe. If we stimulate certain areas—what we call points, energy areas, or energy centers—we can also stimulate the inside of our body. This stimulation, in effect, can cause certain physiological changes in blood flow, nerve impulses, healing, and immunological responses, to name a few.

When we insert very fine, stainless steel, surgical-grade, disposable, sterilized needles at these points, your body naturally reacts. Imagine what it would say if it could talk to you: "Hey! I'm here—listen to me. Your arm is injured, or your uterus is weak, or your ovaries are not ovulating well. Your circulation is weak in this whole area, you are not secreting hormones properly, and your body is not reacting or is not sensitive to your hormone secretions. Your egg quality is poor." So much response to little needles!

Of course, knowing where to put the needles is all-important. Where did this knowledge come from? The simple answer is through centuries of trial and error. Countless acupuncture doctors before today figured out that when you stimulate a certain point, you get a certain response that will be good for certain conditions in that area.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

What is the physiological explanation? We do know that acupuncture facilitates the release of endogenous opiates like endorphins. These endorphins stimulate the body's self-regulatory mechanism—the biological chemicals that help our body to heal and rejuvenate. But since these endorphins are also part of the endocrine system, they help to improve serotonin secretion in the brain, a kind of feel-good mood hormone that helps us feel better.
One of the most common acupuncture points is at the very top of the head. It's the place where all the energies of our body converge. Needless to say, it is an extremely powerful point used for many purposes, including fertility.

Discover the Benefits of Acupuncture for Asthma

Acupuncture for asthma is  very effective and increasingly popular natural asthma treatment. More and more people are becoming dissatisfied with their prescription asthma medications. Every day the numbers are increasing despite the billions being spent on these medications. It's pretty obvious that these medications are not working.

Acupuncture for Asthma is a Great Alternative to Prescription Asthma Medications

It is becoming obvious to many people that prescription asthma medications are not the answer. So when people find out about the dangerous side-effects of these medications, they start looking even harder for a natural asthma treatment. Acupuncture for asthma is one of the top natural treatments for asthma that are available. People are seeing excellent results at reducing and even eliminating the causes of asthma.
Asthma is a very dangerous ailment and can not be ignored. It will not go away by itself. Asthma is a condition that the medical community says there is no cure for. Heck, they don't even know what causes asthma . So why would you want to spend your hard earned money on drugs that will not cure your asthma?

What is Asthma?

If you have asthma, here is what it means to you. It means that the tubes (or airways) that carry air back and forth to your lungs when you breathe are very sensitive. Coming into contact with certain things or even doing certain things causes your airways to get very irritated. And getting them irritated is not something that you really want to do.
Because when your airways do get irritated, you then have to deal with those nasty asthma sign and symptoms .  like wheezing, coughing, pain and tightness in the chest, shortness of breath. Your breathing tubes (or airways) become smaller and can get filled with mucus or gunk as I call it. And when that happens it gets very difficult to breath. You are said to be having an asthma attack.

What Kinds Of 'Things' Can Irritate Your Airways?

So what kinds of things can cause your airways and lungs to get so irritated? They are called asthma triggers .  Everybody seems to have a different list of these triggers that irritate their airways., but some of the things (or triggers) that can irritate your airways are:
·                            Certain foods - could be just about anything, even food additives or preservatives.
·                            Air pollution - could be outside air or even the air inside your home.
·                            Aerosol sprays - cleaning products, cooking products, hair spray, etc.
·                            Animal dander - all pets give off dander.
·                            Car exhaust fumes
·                            Cleaning products - certain chemicals or combinations might be on your list
·                            Cockroach droppings - will need to eliminate them from anywhere that you might go.
·                            Dust mites - they are in your bedding, carpets, etc.
·                            Gas fumes
·                            Grass - could be any kind of plants, etc.
·                            Mold - you will need to search everywhere to find it and eliminate it.
·                            Paint fumes
·                            Pollen - any kind of pollen could be a problem.
·                            Smoke - cigarettes, fireplaces, etc.
Getting acupuncture for asthma treatments between asthma attacks can help to seriously decrease the times that your airways do get irritated.

What Can Acupuncture Do For Me?

You can get the complete list from the benefits of acupuncture , but getting a series of acupuncture treatments can have the following effects on your asthma:
·                            You will see a definite reduction in those nasty asthma symptoms.
·                            You should be able to seriously decrease taking prescription medications.
·                            The chemical imbalances in your body will be improved.
·                            Your entire immune system will be balanced and strengthened.
·                            All of these benefits will be significant and will last a long time.
·                            And there are no dangerous acupuncture side effects to worry about.

What Exactly Happens During An Acupuncture Treatment?

When getting your acupuncture for asthma treatment very skinny needles are inserted just under the skin at certain points of your body. This is usually the upper back and hand when treating asthma. It is believed that energy flows through the body along very specific and identifiable paths. They call these paths meridians. I just think of them as streets and your body as the neighborhood.

Correcting your Energy Flow

When you have a physical problem like asthma, it is believed that the energy flowing through your body is out of whack. It is not flowing down the streets like it should. Inserting these needles at specific acupuncture points on the street helps to correct the energy flow problem. When the energy flow problem is corrected at the points specific to asthma, your asthma symptoms will continue to decrease and maybe go away completely.
Once the needles are inserted, they might be either rotated manually or a small electric current might be applied to them. You should feel a warmth or a numbness around that point. The needles are left there for about twenty minutes for the best effect.

Getting a Series of Treatments

Effective acupuncture for asthma treatment involves a series of treatments over a period of up to about 10 weeks. Sometimes this treatment is combined with specific breathing exercises to strengthen the lungs.

Acupuncture Cupping For Detoxification

Acupuncture Cupping

An ancient Chinese technique, acupuncture cupping is another form of healing that is practiced in China.
The ancient cultures of the world have a lot to offer in terms of healing practices and traditions. They developed this and other techniques with understanding by painstaking research over years. The Chinese have one of the oldest cultures in our history; their healing techniques like acupuncture, acupuncture cupping and acupressure are renowned the world over.

What Is Acupuncture Cupping?

Traditionally, in ancient China, cupping was a form of a healing therapy that consisted of placing glass, plastic or metal cups on the skin with vacuum suction.
According to the principles of Chinese medicine, this therapy increases blood flow to the surface of the skin removing disease causing toxins. Apart from this, it helps in the curing of many conditions, such as the common cold, bronchitis and pneumonia. It is also beneficial for various pains, such as in the neck, shoulder and back.
It involves applying the cups to acupuncture points on the meridians. It is used to enhance acupuncture as well since it stimulates circulation andrelieves swelling.

How is it done?

The acupuncturist inserts and burns a cotton wool ball soaked in alcohol or a candle inside the cup. This removes the air so creating a partial vacuum. Then the cup is immediately applied to the affected area in an inverted position.
Usually, it’s advisable to apply oil before cupping so that the skin doesn’t dry due to the vacuum and the heat but more importantly, it enables the cups to be easily slid across the skin.
These cups are left on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. Earlier, burning something was the only way to create vacuum inside the cup. The modern day technique involves employing a vacuum pump or a suction cup to draw out air after the cup has been placed on the skin. This is known as air cupping.
In many cases the skin is punctured with a needle and then the cup is placed over the area. This is believed to be improve detoxification.
Cupping is one of the most ancient and successful techniques to cure many problems. Where antibiotics or painkillers fail, cupping can often succeed and giving the patient a new lease of life.
Chinese medicine principles state that stagnation of blood is the cause of many pains and diseases. Cupping therapy clears up the stagnation and stimulates the blood flow in the affected areas. Due to its very nature, it also clears congestion in the chest caused by colds and ‘flu.
Many people believe that cupping is painful. However, that’s not true. You may feel the pull of the skin when the cup is applied, but there is no pain. There may be a bruise in the cupped area but that disappears after just a short while.
These ancient arts are time tested and proven. Sometimes, acupuncture cupping cures a disease that modern day medicine finds incurable or difficult to heal. So, try cupping and I am sure you will appreciate its value.

ACUPUNCTURE CLEARS SEASONAL ALLERGIES :-

(Natural News) While the best thing about seasonal allergies may be open to debate :-

The  weather, beautiful flowers, picnics; the worst thing is nearly always unanimous. Prescription and over-the-counter medications are widely available, but do nothing to help overall health and prevention of allergies, plus come with a host of side effects. Natural remedies such as acupuncture, however, not only clear symptoms of allergies, but they also help the body come into balance: clearing the underlying condition causing allergies and improving overall health.

(1)Seasonal allergies occur when someone reacts to the pollen of flowers in trees, grasses and weeds, and causes symptoms such as itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, headaches, and fatigue.

Although western medications are available, even over the counter, they come with their own host of side effects, one being temporary loss of smell and taste. Other side effects include headache, fatigue, wheezing and abdominal pain.
(2) Plus, medications do nothing to improve health and prevent further allergies.

Allergies are a sign of an imbalance in the immune system. Balancing and strengthening the body can be the best thing to decrease or even rid oneself of seasonal allergies altogether.

Some natural tips include:

  • Eat local, seasonal foods. This keeps us in tune and in balance with the natural cycles around us.
  • Eat local honey, and - if you do not have a reaction to it, test by having only a tiny granule at first - local bee pollen. The local honey and bee pollen is made from pollen of local flowers, in a form that is utilized by the body. Thus, when the body is later exposed in the environment, the immune system does not see it as an invader and react against it.
  • Take a regular multivitamin/mineral supplement year round to ensure that your body is functioning at its best.
  • Eat more raw foods, especially in the warmer months. This puts us in tune with the seasons, and helps our body function at its best.
  • Receive acupuncture.

How Acupuncture Helps Treat Allergies

Acupuncture is a great way both to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies, and to bring the body into balance so one need not suffer seasonal allergies in the future.

Acupuncture helps the sufferer of allergies in two main ways:

  1. Alleviates symptoms such as itchy eyes, stuffiness, headaches and fatigue, and
  2. Brings the body into balance.

Symptom Treatment

Acupuncture is excellent at treating symptoms of allergies. Many allergy symptoms are located above the neck, that is, in the head (stuffiness, headache, itchy eyes, etc.) This means the energy is not flowing smoothly from the head into the rest of the body, and vice versa. All the yang meridians flow from the hands up to the head, or from the head down to the feet. We need to open the channels in the neck and shoulders and allow the energy to flow.

Acupuncture can also treat the symptoms very locally: by placing small, sterile needles right on points of pain or symptoms like the head or side of nose, allowing the stuck energy to dissipate and move more smoothly throughout the body.
Root Treatment

Secondly, though most importantly, acupuncture helps balance the body in general. This is done by taking a complete intake and doing a complete assessment of every client who comes for treatment. Acupuncturists treat very specifically and individually, making sure the underlying cause of allergies (and any other symptoms) are cleared. When the body is in balance, symptoms disappear and health is restored. This is the main benefit of acupuncture: bringing a person into balance so that the body may heal itself of any ailment physically, mentally or emotionally.

While allergies can put a damper on enjoying the best the season holds, there is natural relief for allergy sufferers. And the relief need not be temporary. In fact, when the body is brought to a higher level of health, we enjoy renewed energy, flexibility and joy of living

ACUPUNCTURE: ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE

ACUPUNCTURE: ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE: "THE ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE The origin of acupuncture is shrouded in antiquity. Legend has it, that thousands of years ago a Chinese soldier ..."

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK ?

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points. The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body to irrigate and nourish the tissues, blood flow and nervous pulses also follow meridians to run through the body to various parts, structures and organs. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers is like a dam that backs up the flow in one part of the body and restricts it in others. Any obstruction and blockages or deficiencies of energy, blood and nervous pulses would eventually lead to disease. The meridians can be influenced by needling the acupuncture points: the acupuncture needles unblock the obstruction at the dams, and reestablish the regular flow through the medians. Acupuncture treatments can therefore help the body’s internal organs to correct imbalances in their digestion, absorption, and energy production activities, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians. The modern science explain the functions of acupuncture in 2 major ways:
1.Needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain, or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body’s own internal regulating system.
2.In traditional Chinese medicine YIN represents “-“ (negative) and YANG represents “+” (positive). The main principle of Chinese medicine is to keep the YIN and YANG balance or bring YIN and YANG back to balance. YIN YANG balance is the healthy state of the body. Modern science reveals that the very basic unit of the body is cell. Cells’ movement follow the movement of electrons. The electrons inside cells act according to its own regular patterns. We call all these electrons in living body bioelectrons. Energy flow in the meridians is the direct or indirect transportation of bioelectrons. Meridians are the pathways where bioelectons move more frequently than other parts of the body. When positive and negative charges in the bioelectronic movements are not balanced, the cells would act abnormally—this is YIN and YANG imbalance. In Chinese medicine it is defined as “disease”. It is a beginning stage of the physiological cells electrons movement. Only radical change of the cells electrons movement is admitted by Western medicine as “disease”.
All the external factors, such as mechanical, physical, chemical, biological and internal factors such as mental, hereditary, constitutional can cause and force the body’s bioelectrical movement turn to imbalance would lead to disease. Acupuncture can force the bioelectrons resume to their normal and regular movement patterns and YIN YANG balance. The more acupuncture treatment the patient have the longer the normal movement pattern of the bioelectrons can remain, until finally the electrons inside cells would not follow the abnormal movement pattern any more. Only at this point the problem can be deemed as solved and treated completely.

ACUPUNCTURE: ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE

ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE

THE ORIGIN OF ACUPUNCTURE

The origin of acupuncture is shrouded in antiquity. Legend has it, that thousands of years ago a Chinese soldier developed a stiff and painful shoulder, what we would now call a frozen shoulder. He went to his doctor who despite his best efforts could not help him. So the soldier gradually accepted the idea of living with the pain. One day, during a battle, a miracle occurred. He was wounded in he leg and suddenly his shoulder which had been stiff and painful for many years, could move freely again without pain.
ax11.gif (8938 bytes)
When the soldier returned to his village, he told his doctor how his frozen shoulder had been miraculously cured. The doctor carefully examined his leg but could not understand how an arrow in the leg could cure a frozen shoulder. Another patient with a frozen shoulder was waiting to see the doctor. He overheard this story and said "Doctor please try this treatment on me". The doctor thought it was a rather silly idea, but since he had been treating this patient for many months without success, he decided to try it He took an arrow and, cautiously jabbed it into the patient's leg, at approximately the same spot where the soldier had been wounded. Wonders of wonders, the pain in the shoulder disappeared! In a few minutes the patient was able to move his shoulder freely and painlessly.
Since this cure seemed rather promising. The next time a patient came to the doctor with a frozen shoulder, he poked him in the leg with an arrow. Soon his fame as a specialist in curing frozen shoulders grew and spread throughout the country. As his practice grew, the doctor wondered whether he could apply the same principle to treat other ailments. So he asked his other patients if any of them had experienced similar miraculous cures. Gradually he discovered that injuries in certain areas had beneficial effects on ailments in other parts of the body. While this treatment was very effective, many patients were afraid to visit a doctor who poked his patients with arrows!
Over the years other methods were found to stimulate acupuncture points using needles instead of arrows. This initial accident was thus refined into the art of acupuncture. Today laserpuncture painlessly achieves the same effect as its ancestor the arrow, using a beam of pure light.
